Ragen Swan PLLC is a Seattle WA law firm focused entirely on technology and intellectual property transactions. We are a firm without a traditional, physical office, so we are able to deliver high-value services at a reasonable cost.

Amy Levin Ragen

Amy practices in the area of intellectual property and technology transactions, as well as general commercial law and contracts. During her legal career, she has worked with many different clients, large and small, on intellectual property, product group support, licensing and distribution agreements, program support, procurement agreements, data services and hosting agreements, technology development, professional services, vendor contracts, business development and other contractual matters. In addition, she provides legal and contractual analysis of client business and development and partnering strategies.

Since 2001 Amy has provided legal counsel on multiple large and small transactions for a Fortune 50 technology company, including work on complex OEM license agreements, software license upgrade programs, marketing agreements, component purchase and other hardware agreements, and product launch agreements. Her work for other clients has included contractual and regulatory work for a major telecommunications company, start-up financing for technology-based companies, and intellectual property and general contractual support for mergers and acquisitions.

As a former in-house lawyer, Amy has a particular appreciation for the corporate realities and requirements that in-house counsel face on a daily basis. That experience also helps her to understand what in-house lawyers need from outside counsel.

Before forming the Law Office of Amy Ragen PLLC (later renamed Ragen Swan PLLC), Amy was Commercial Counsel for Teledesic LLC (1997-2001), a Partner at Davis Wright Tremaine (Partner 1993-1997, Associate 1989-1992), and an Associate at Morrison & Foerster (1986-1989). Amy graduated from the University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 1986) and Yale University (B.A., cum laude, 1983).

Amy was named a 2012 Puget Sound Business Journal Woman of Influence (Nov. 16, 2012 issue).

Admitted to practice in Washington and California.
